Vocalist Beverley Church Hogan's career was just on the verge of taking off when life decided it had different plans for her. But now, after a nearly 60-year detour, she's releasing her debut CD, "Can't Get Out of This Mood." Despite her 83 years of age, her smooth-as-silk vocals and ability to swing and render a lyric with sensitivity remains undiminished.

BEVERLEY'S SHOW AT THE CATALINA JAZZ CLUB IN HOLLYWOOD
has been an annual event ever since 2002, filling every seat in los angeles' premiere jazz venue.
After a dozen years of performing, Beverley decided it was finally time to make her debut CD. She enlisted singer, pianist, recording artist, and Grammy-winning composer John Proulx to play on, arrange, and produce the project. Prolux has been her accompanist for ten years.
THE MAKING OF "CAN'T GET OUT OF THIS MOOD"
Beverley chose a mix of songs that resonate with her because they relate to people and events in her own life. The Great American Songbook is well represented, and she also covers more contemporary composers.

Beverley Church Hogan isn't a flashy singer. Her focus is on presenting a profoundly personal interpretation of the lyrics. when she sings, you have the feeling she is singing directly to you. Her plans for the future are simple: to keep singing well into her nineties. Her voice is strong and resilient, and there's no detour ahead.
